With cotton lint processing from the 2015/16 harvest coming to an end, producers have allocated the best types especially to fulfill advance contracts with the foreign market. As a result, domestic availability remains restricted, at the same time that buyers seek to acquire superior quality feather.
On the other hand, according to Cepea employees, national industries that are receiving advance contracts do not complain about the types of feathers. Between November 9th and 16th, the CEPEA/ESALQ Indicator with payment in 8 days, referring to plume 41-4, placed in São Paulo, rose 1.7%, closing at R$ 2.5676/lp this Wednesday, 16th. In the November partial (until the 16th), the Indicator accumulates an increase of 2.4%.
