China, the world's biggest soybean buyer, has issued a regulation requiring imported soybeans to be stored before entering the market, its customs agency said on Monday.
The regulation requires the importer to send soybeans to specific warehouses before obtaining quarantine permission to enter the domestic market.

In May, three soybean traders told Reuters that China is increasing the rate of inspections on imported soybean cargoes, which has further delayed clearance times.
China is now seeking to diversify its soybean import origins to ensure supplies of the oilseed.
