As reported by CNA, soybeans led the list of products exported in October, with a share of 19.5%, revenue of US$ 1.7 billion, 94.3% more than in October 2020. Raw sugar it was the second most shipped item (US$ 720.4 million), although sales abroad fell 27.3% compared to the same month last year.
The most significant increase in foreign sales was for crude soybean oil, at 862.1%, which increased from US$ 18.5 million in October 2020 to US$ 178.3 million last month. Next, soybeans in grains (94.3%), fresh chicken meat (61.9%) and paper (37%) appear. In October 2021, 66% of agribusiness sales had 10 countries as their main destinations. The first was China, with a share of 25.5% of the total, followed by the European Union (14.2%), the United States (9.9%), Japan (3.3%) and Vietnam (2.9%). Completing the list are Chile (2.4%), Iran (2.1%), Thailand (2.0%), South Korea (1.9%) and India (1.9%).
