In 2023 alone, Brazil has already opened 16 markets for agricultural products.
On his first visit as Minister of Agriculture and Livestock to the Parliamentary Front for Agriculture (FPA), Carlos Fávaro debated the topics considered priorities for representatives of the National Congress during a meeting held this Tuesday (2), in Brasília. For around 3 hours, parliamentarians presented the main demands being processed in the Chamber of Deputies and the Federal Senate related to Brazilian agriculture, such as the time frame, demarcation of indigenous lands, agricultural pesticides, among others.

'The agendas that the FPA has as priorities, I, as a senator, worked hard for them and I will continue working”, said the minister.
According to data released by Mapa, in this first official meeting with the FPA, the minister presented an overview of Mapa's main actions in these first months of 2023, which has already seen the opening of 16 markets for Brazilian agribusiness products and record exports in the first quarter, totaling U$ 35.95 billion. According to Fávaro, dialogue with parliamentarians has been constant and Mapa is keen to maintain an open dialogue with the Legislature in the search for effective results for the development of Brazilian agriculture.
At the event, the minister highlighted the success of the dollarized rural credit line launched by the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), of which R$ 2 billion made available were contracted on the first day of Agrishow.
