This January, our team was present in the interior of São Paulo to tour the peanut fields, observe the progress of the harvest and the expectations of the production chain for the new season that begins soon.
In general, there has been an increase in investments in the peanut sector, and Brazil tends to increase its relevance in the global market. This season, for example, an increase of 10% in planted area.
However, El Niño caused heat waves, irregular rains and damage to fields, affecting the production of soybeans and other products. Peanuts, being a very resistant crop that rarely gives up, still make us wait for the harvest to determine the final impacts on production numbers.
The highlight of the itinerary was our annual participation in the Field Day event in Getulina, organized by Turma do Amendoim. The event attracted more than 1000 participants and is a key platform for networking and technological innovations in the field.
