Our peanut oil and corn oil experts, respectively: Melinda Rodrigues and Zainab Alhamwi.
During the month of February, we traveled to the Middle East and North Africa, passing through Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates with the aim of visiting our customers and their factories.
The first destination was Saudi Arabia, a country that imports and exports vegetable oils and other products. In recent years, the country has undergone a major political and cultural transformation, with greater openness to the outside world and to female participation in society. Our experts were very well received and were impressed with the country's development.

Already in Sudan, a country that plays peanuts and cotton, and which also imports several oilseeds, Melinda and Zainab were warmly received by our partners and customers. A few years ago, Sudan was removed from the list of countries sanctioned by the United States and has since presented several opportunities for the global agribusiness production chain.
In Egypt, also a large importer of vegetable oils, our brokers were able to visit several oil refineries.
Finally, our last destination was the Middle East, where the experts visited Dubai and were present at Gulfood, the largest food fair in the world. The event took place between the 20th and 24th of February, a time that allowed us to see great partners, customers and prospect new ones.
