Our specialist in peanut, Melinda Rodrigues, participated in the podcast Papo de Porto 013, presented by Luiz Fabiano. During the episode, Melinda commented on the grain market in Brazil, with a focus on peanuts, and on the differentiated brokerage work that Aboissa offers its clients.
She explained the different types of peanut oil extraction, highlighting that profitability can vary depending on the method used. Furthermore, he spoke about the high palatability of peanut bran, widely used in animal feed. Currently, São Paulo is the largest producer of this oilseed, while Mato Grosso and Minas Gerais are emerging as major potential producers, either due to the availability of land or favorable logistics.
Peanuts are one of the most recommended crops for soil recovery. In fact, one of the reasons why São Paulo is one of the largest peanut producers is due to its rotation with sugar cane. Peanuts have the ability to capture nitrogen from the air and fix it in the soil, contributing to improving soil quality.
