Abisa Nordeste 2023, consolidating itself as an event of great importance in the hygiene and cleaning industry, addressed a variety of crucial topics that positively impact the sector. What stood out this year was the notable emphasis on sustainability, culminating in the achievement of the Carbon Free seal, thus becoming the first event in the segment to obtain this certification.
Zoe Mores, executive director of Abisa, shared her perspectives on the main issues addressed at the event. The discussions held on the days October 22nd to 24th, highlighted the importance of innovation and sustainability in the industry, highlighting the association's ongoing commitment to more environmentally friendly practices.
One of the notable innovations presented was the use of seaweed in the manufacture of sanitizing products, a structure that showed the entire softener production process and a series of launches, including perfumery and cosmetic products.
Additionally, participants had the opportunity to learn about sustainable candle making, providing not only knowledge but also possible sources of extra income. Abisa, known for its constant promotion of sustainability, does not limit itself to speeches during congresses, but extends its commitment through practical initiatives, such as the cooking oil collection project in partnership with the RJ Environment Secretariat.
The long partnership between Aboissa and Abisa, since the first edition of the event, has been fundamental to our continued involvement in the sector. The 2023 edition, held in Natal, achieved a participation record, with the presence of more than 220 companies. The strategic choice of Natal as the headquarters allowed the coverage of several regions, such as AL, SE, PB, PE, MA, among others. The crucial role played by the hotel, providing excellent infrastructure, contributed significantly to the success of the meeting.
