Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), Donlink Holding Group (Donlink) and Guangdong HAID Group (HAID) have established a joint venture in China. They have completed the first phase of construction of a new food industrial park in Guangzhou. The industrial park in Nansha is 180,000 square meters in area. Fuling Food Technology will operate it. The three companies established this joint venture in 2020.
Located in the center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, this industrial complex includes a food protein factory with soybean processing capacity of 1.8 million tons per year, a vegetable oil refining factory with of 360 thousand tons per year and a high quality cooking oil production line with bottling capacity of 240 thousand tons per year. In addition, the facility has a packaged cooking oil warehouse, a lecithin production line, soybean oil tanks and a soybean meal warehouse.
This facility will focus on the development and production of plant-based food products and ingredients. In this sense, the collaboration seeks to transform the traditional grain and oil processing business. This is in line with the development of China's Greater Bay Area.
The Donlink Group is made up of three main lines of business: Donlink Grains and Oils, Donlink Machinery and Donlink Investment. On the other hand, HAID Group operates in five business segments, covering feed, seedlings, animal protection, animal husbandry and food. Therefore, this joint venture represents a strategic partnership aimed at meeting the growing demand for plant-based food products in China and other markets.
