China's Ministry of Agriculture on Friday cut its forecast for soybean oil imports in the 2023/24 crop year by almost 60% to 0.5 million tonnes, without providing a reason.

All other numbers in the monthly China Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (CASDE) report remained unchanged from last month.
The report noted, however, that cotton in the northwest region of Xinjiang, the main growing area, is developing later than normal.
