Tuesday (16) begins with corn futures prices returning to operate in the negative field of the Brazilian Stock Exchange (B3). The main prices fluctuated in the range between R$ 56.32 and R$ 64.08 at around 10:07 am (Brasília time).
July/23 was quoted at R$ 56.32 with a devaluation of 0.55%, September/23 was worth R$ 58.80 with a drop of 0.03%, November/23 was traded at R$ 61.37 with a loss of 0.13% and January/24 had a value of R$ 64.08 with a drop of 0.26%.

The Chicago Stock Exchange (CBOT) also opened its activities this Tuesday with international corn futures prices registering negative movements at around 9:44 am (Brasília time).
July/23 was quoted at US$ 5.86 with a devaluation of 5.75 points, September/23 was worth US$ 5.16 with a drop of 1.75 points, December/23 was traded at US$ 5.13 with a drop of 2.00 points and March/24 had a value of US$ 5.23 with a loss of 1.50 points.
According to information from the international website Successful Farming, grain futures contracts fell in overnight trading, with planting in the United States advancing.
About 65% of the corn crop had been planted by the start of the week, up from 49% the previous week, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) said in a report yesterday. This is also well above the previous five-year average of 59%.
