Ukraine's sunflower oil production could reach approximately 5 million tons in the 2023/24 harvest, according to an estimate by the Ukroliyaprom association. If it comes to fruition, it would represent an increase of 11% compared to the previous season.
This perspective takes into account the increase in the projection for the sunflower harvest in the Eastern European country and a possible decline in seed exports, to 600 thousand tons, which would increase processing.

Ukroliyaprom estimates Ukrainian sunflower oil exports at 4.7 million tonnes in the 2023/24 cycle, which would also mean annual growth of 11% – Ukraine is the largest global exporter of the commodity. But shipments depend heavily on the continuity of the Black Sea flow corridor.
