Energy transition will be accelerated and Petrobras will research renewable fuels, says Lula

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said this Monday that Brazil's energy transition towards greater use of renewable energy sources will be accelerated, with the launch of new auctions to expand solar and wind energy.

In a speech during a ministerial meeting that marked 100 days since the beginning of the government, Lula also stated that the country will become a powerhouse in the production of green hydrogen and that Petrobras will finance research into renewable fuels. He stressed that Petrobras is not just an oil company, but an energy company.
