The Brazilian Biofuels Producers Association (APROBIO) formally joined the Pan-American Liquid Biofuels Coalition. The protocol was signed by Júlio Cesar Minelli, Superintendent Director of the Association, during the Pan-American Summit on Liquid Biofuels, which takes place at the Central Headquarters of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), in San José, Costa Rica, until this Friday, the 31st.
“With the Coalition, we will join forces on the continent to promote the sustainable production and consumption of liquid biofuels, an important solution for the decarbonization of transport. It also allows us to communicate to the world that we are part of a chain that helps guarantee the planet's energy and food security with greater health and sustainability” celebrated Minelli.

The objective of the new entity is to coordinate the work of affiliated institutions in the field of biofuels, promote the production and sustainable consumption of liquid biofuels, coordinate effective communication between institutions and encourage adequate representation of the sector in relevant international spaces.
APROBIO had already participated, with other entities representing the biofuels sector in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay and Uruguay, in the Manifesto in Defense of Biofuels as a way of expressing the firm conviction that it is essential for all governments to promote in the region, comprehensively, the energy transition strategy for the development of the sector, both for vehicular transport, air, river and sea.
