Ukraine's grain exports in the 2022/23 season fell by 17.7% to 36.9 million tonnes as of March 27, reflecting a smaller harvest and logistical difficulties caused by the Russian invasion, Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry data showed.
The ministry said that on the same date last year, Ukraine had exported 44.8 million tonnes of grain.

Volume so far in the July-June season has included about 12.6 million tonnes of wheat, 21.7 million tonnes of corn and 2.27 million tonnes of barley.
The ministry said that grain exports in March reached 4.63 million tons by the 27th.
After a nearly six-month blockade caused by Russia's invasion, three Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea were liberated in late July under an agreement between Moscow and Kiev brokered by the United Nations and Turkey.
Grain production in Ukraine, a major producer and exporter, is likely to fall to around 53 million tonnes in clean weight in calendar year 2022, from a record 86 million tonnes in 2021.
Authorities explain this drop by hostilities in the east, north and south of the country.
The government said Ukraine could harvest 44.3 million tonnes of grain in 2023, including 16.6 million tonnes of wheat.
