The state of Mato Grosso, leader in deliveries to the market, concentrates the largest volume in 2022 (24.4%), reaching 10.02 million tons, followed by Goiás, with 4.63 million, Rio Grande do Sul (4.32 million), Paraná (4.20 million), São Paulo (4.17 million) and Minas Gerais (3.88 million).
National production of intermediate fertilizers ended the month of December 2022 with 605 thousand tons, representing a drop of 13.3%. From January to December 2022, total production was 7.45 million tons, an increase of 3.3% compared to the same period in 2021, when 7.21 million tons were manufactured.
Imports of intermediate fertilizers reached 2.07 million tons in December 2022, indicating a reduction of 42.2%. From January to December 2022, the total imported was 34.60 million tons, a reduction of 11.8% compared to the same period in 2021, when 39.25 million tons were recorded.
Through the Port of Paranaguá, the main gateway for fertilizers, 9.42 million tons were imported, indicating a reduction of 14.3% compared to 2021, when 11 million tons were unloaded. The terminal represented 27.2% of the total imported by all ports.
