It is a carboxylic acid considered saturated, present in oils and fats of vegetable and animal origin. Obtained from the fractionation process, and at room temperature it is solid. Much of this product is sold in 25kg bags. It is a non-toxic and renewable 100% product, intended for the production of esters, amines, personal hygiene products, plastics, rubbers, resins, cosmetics, textile auxiliaries, paper industry, greases and lubricants, candles, among others.
