Data reported this Monday (4) by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) referring to shipments from last week – up to March 31 – show exports of 737 thousand tons of soybeans in the period, a volume 16.6% higher than that shipped in the previous week and 21.8% above the weekly average to reach the estimated total for the 2021/22 harvest, of 56.880 million tons.

The US shipped, in the period analyzed, 91.4% more compared to the same week last year.
In the accumulated total for the 2021/22 commercial year – which began on September 1, 2021 – the North American country shipped 44.169 million tons, a volume 19% lower than that shipped in the previous season and 78% of the total estimated for this harvest.
