The Ministry of Labor and Social Security released, this Tuesday (26), the Monthly Formal Employment Statistics, the New Caged. Brazil generated 313,902 jobs in September this year. In 2021, the positive balance is 2,512,937 new workers in the formal market.
According to the Minister of Labor and Pensions, Onyx Lorenzoni, the country is maintaining the trend of the last three months of more than 300 thousand new jobs per month, which is a “clear demonstration of the formal recovery of the economy”.

Last month, the employment balance was positive in the five groups of economic activities: services, with the creation of 143,418 jobs, distributed mainly in information, communication and financial, real estate, professional and administrative activities; general industry, which created 76,169 new jobs, concentrated in the manufacturing industry; commerce, positive balance of 60,809 jobs; construction, 24,513 more jobs created; and agriculture, livestock, forestry production, fishing and aquaculture construction, which registered 9,084 new workers.
The agribusiness sector had been experiencing a decline in job creation in the index in the months of October, November and December 2021 when it registered – 18.3 thousand jobs. In January this year there was a recovery with the creation of 34.7 thousand jobs. The peak was in May with more than 47 thousand jobs. During the year, agribusiness created 95,467 thousand jobs.
The states that created the most jobs were Alagoas, with the opening of 16,885 jobs, an increase of 4.73%; Sergipe, which created 6,097 new vacancies (2.2%); and Pernambuco, with a positive balance of 25,732 jobs (2.01%).
