The Brazilian corn market kept prices little changed in this shorter business week, given this Thursday's holiday. And, with the holiday, the week was even slower in sales. Prices did not fluctuate much, given the supply contained in many markets and with the recent increases in corn on the Chicago Stock Exchange, supporting the cereal in the ports.
There were no major changes in prices, but there was better support compared to the previous week, when prices fell more with increasing supply.
In the balance of the last seven days, between Thursday (May 27th) and this Thursday (June 3rd), corn at the Port of Santos on the purchase basis rose from R$ 84.00 to R$ 85.00 a bag, high of 1.2%.
The price of corn in Campinas/CIF in the same comparison increased from R$ 100.00 to R$ 103.00 per bag, an increase of 3%. In the Mogiana region of São Paulo, the cereal remained stable in sales at R$ 102.00 per bag.
In Cascavel, Paraná, in the weekly comparison, the price rose from R$ 96.00 to R$ 97.00 per bag, an increase of 1.0%. In Rondonópolis, Mato Grosso, the price fell from 84.00 per bag to R$ 83.00 (-1.2%). In Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, the value fell from R$ 98.00 to R$ 97.00 per bag, down from 1.0%.
In Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, corn prices remained at R$ 95.00 per bag. In Rio Verde, Goiás, the market remained stable at R$ 93.00.

EXPORTS
Corn exports from Brazil had revenue of US$ 4.420 million in May (21 working days), with a daily average of US$ 210.5 thousand. The total amount of corn exported by the country was 13,919 thousand tons, with an average of 662.9 tons. The average price per ton was US$ 317.60.
In relation to May 2020, there was a drop of 37.23% in the average daily export value, a drop of 46.83% in the average daily quantity exported and an increase of 18.06% in the average price. The data comes from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Services and was released by the Secretariat of Foreign Trade.
