EC visit

Brazil is the fifth largest coconut producer in the world and the state of Ceará is the 2nd largest from the country.

Over 200 possible products from its harvest, coconut takes up around 5 thousand hectares planted, generating 200 thousand direct and indirect jobs. Between oil, water, flour and fat, coconut also provides raw material for handicrafts, thermal and acoustic insulation, coverings, benches, among others.

Aboissa, aiming to update the production situation of coconut as a raw material and its products, as in the second half of 2019 production grew 20%, visited 6 companies in a 3-day trip through Ceará with experts Michel Aboissa and Vinicius Santana.
