“Commodities boom hasn’t even started”, says Secretary of Foreign Trade

The Special Secretary for Foreign Trade and International Affairs of the Ministry of Economy, Marcos Troyjo, said, this Tuesday (27), at the opening of the International Poultry and Swine Exhibition (Siavs) 2019, in São Paulo (SP), that the The agricultural, mineral and energy commodity boom – contrary to what has been said lately – has not even started.

In his presentation, Troyjo supported his statement on the enormous Asian market potential for Brazilian products, especially meat. “Brazil could become the Saudi Arabia of food in the coming years.”

According to Troyjo, information technology has already been revolutionizing the production sector and will be increasingly necessary. “Competitive countries will have to be light and fast.”
