Founded in 1909, American Oil Chemists' Society ( AOCS ) is an international professional organization based in Urbana, Illinois, USA, for people working to advance the science and technology of oils, fats, proteins, surfactants and related materials. AOCS works on important topics and shares its analyzes and methods through the journal INFORM, newspapers, meetings and online community.
A Aboissa has always performed technical consultations related to best practices of AOCS methods, which are used in hundreds of laboratories on all six continents. In 2015, he participated as a visitor for the first time in the Santiago, Chile, edition of AOCS Latin American Congress and Exhibition on Fats, Oils and Lipids, an international event that brings together AOCS members and other leaders in the oils and fats industry. And in June 2019, taking a big and important step, Aboissa became an official member of AOCS and part of its global scientific community of chemists, nutritionists, engineers and business leaders who work together to advance the science of oils, fats, proteins and other related.
As a member of AOCS, Aboissa will participate in the AOCS Latin American Congress and Exhibition on Fats, Oils and Lipids, and now receive weekly information about the association's news and access to all materials from the private library, thus being able to continue specializing to better serve our customers in the oils and fats segment.
