The pig market had a slight devaluation in the last week. With the market still waiting for salaries, domestic demand remained contained, which made prices less firm.
In the last seven days, on farms in São Paulo, the price of finished animals fell by 1.0%, being traded, on average, at R$102.00 per arroba.
At wholesale, the devaluation in the same comparison was 1.2%, with the carcass priced, on average, at R$8.00 per kilo.
The expectation is that the imminent receipt of salaries will reverse the weak demand.
Externally, fresh pork exports in June totaled 55.7 thousand tons. A drop of 5.2% in the monthly comparison, however, an increase of 84.5% in the annual comparison.
