The commercialization of the 2018/19 soybean harvest in Brazil reached 70% of the expected production until June 7th, below the 73% recorded in the same period of the last harvest. The number is also well below the 2016 record of 77%, but in line with the 70% normal five-year average for the period.
Trading recorded a rise of 13% over the previously released report. According to DATAGRO, the good pace in sales was due to the confirmation of positive price behavior.
Regarding soybean sales from the 2019/20 harvest, 14.5% of production has already been negotiated. The index is above the 11.3% recorded in 2018, and is also higher than the 7% average over the last five years. This year, sales are at a good pace, considering that it is slightly below the record rate of 14.7% observed in 2016.

Sales of the summer corn harvest recorded strong growth of 18%, reaching 63% of production obtained until June 7, compared to 56% in the same period last year. A month ago, data showed 45% of the negotiated harvest. Sales are currently above the five-year average of 57%.
For the 2019 winter harvest, sales reached 54% of estimated production, an increase of 10% over the 44% recorded in the previous month. The sales pace is also above the 46% observed last year and is still higher than the average for the last five years (51%).
