Registration is open for the sale of corn seed to the National Supply Company (Conab) in Minas Gerais. The purchase will be made through the Regional Superintendence, through the Food Acquisition Program (PAA). Interested family farmers must submit their sales proposals by 4pm on October 9th, through their associations or cooperatives.
Conab will acquire a total of 61,240 kg of certified first or second generation BRS 4103 corn seeds, with resources in the order of R$309.26 thousand transferred by the Ministry of Social Development (MDS). The purchase was requested by the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Company (Emater/MG) and the seeds will be donated to settler families, family farmers, indigenous peoples, quilombolas and other people benefiting from the Brazil Without Poverty Plan and the National Policy for Agroecology and Organic Production in the municipalities of Oratório, Ipatinga, Guanhãe and Viçosa.
To participate, family farming associations or cooperatives must send to the Company, in addition to the participation proposal according to the pre-determined model, proof of registration or National Register of Legal Entities (CNPJ), a copy of the Declaration of Aptitude for Pronaf (DAP), among other documents listed in the notice. It is also necessary that the cultivar to be supplied and the supplier entity are registered in the National Cultivar Registry and in the National Seed and Seedling Registry (RENASEM). Documents must be delivered to Conab's headquarters in Belo Horizonte or sent by post.
