The price of soybeans on the Chicago Grain Exchange recorded a drop of 7.25 cents in the November/17 contract on Friday (15.09), closing at US$ 9.6875 per bushel. The other highlighted commodity maturities on the CBOT also closed the session with valuations between 5.75 and 7.25 points.
The North American soybean market had a day of losses in the main futures prices, resulting from profit taking – following the gains recorded in the previous days. Furthermore, investors are already beginning to position themselves for the start of the new harvest in the United States, expected to greatly increase supply numbers.
