Next come exports of offal, with more than US$ 33.9 million and 13 thousand tons, and then processed meats, with approximately US$ 39.3 million and almost 6 thousand tons. In the “tripe” segment, just under US$ 11 million and 3.07 thousand tons were shipped, while “salted meats” were sold abroad US$ 2.42 million and 474 tons.
The main purchasing destination for Brazilian meat continues to be Hong Kong, with 34,540 tonnes, an increase of 7.4% more than that sold in July. Next comes Egypt, which imported 23,070 tons (an increase of 27.8%), and China, with 18,565 tons (an increase of 15.1%).
According to Abiec, the sector's focus is on opening new markets and expanding its presence with strategic partners, with China and Iran as priorities. In this sense, the entity informs that it is actively participating in various events around the world.
