The price of soybeans on the Chicago Grain Exchange recorded a drop of 2.00 cents in the November/17 contract on Friday (25.08), closing at US$ 9.445 per bushel. The other highlighted commodity maturities on the CBOT also closed the session with valuations between 1.75 and 2.25 points.
Despite the slight drop on the last day, the North American soybean market closed a week of increases in the main futures prices. With support from the demand field, the oilseed recorded its first positive week since the end of June. Experts, however, do not believe the price recovery will continue due to the good climate for the development of the harvest.
