The Goiana Agency for Technical Assistance, Rural Extension and Agricultural Research (Emater) promoted, last Tuesday (25/4), the lecture “Fertilization and Nutrition in Citrus”, at the Nativas do Cerrado Experimental Station, in Goiânia. The activity included the participation of producers, technicians from Emater and the National Rural Learning Service (Senar).
According to Emater speaker and researcher, Toshio Ogata, the objective of the activity was to inform and update farmers and technicians about the citrus production system.
The lecture covered topics on planting and fertilization, soil preparation and correction and training fertilization. The recommendation of fertilizers for orchards, interpretation of leaf and soil analysis, nutritional deficiencies and composition of the main fertilizers were also topics highlighted during the program.
The rural producer, from Teresópolis, Wellington Nunes Dias highlighted that “during the lecture focused on fertilization, I was able to remember how to prepare the soil well so that the plant can absorb nutrients correctly”.
The manager of the Anápolis Experimental Station, Marcos Coelho explained that the activity is part of a series of lectures with topics requested by Emater technicians and producers who participated in the Citriculture Course in September last year. According to the manager, the purpose of the events is to deepen knowledge, in addition to clarifying participants' doubts.
