The price of soybeans on the Chicago Grain Exchange registered stability on Thursday (27.04) in the May/17 contract, maintaining the value of US$ 9.4575 per bushel. The July/17 contract rose 0.75 cents of Dollar – the same slight appreciation as the August/17 contract.
The day started with heavy losses, but the North American soybean market closed with stability in the main futures prices. The main support factor came from demand, with export sales above expectations: 800 thousand tons in the week ending April 20, according to a report from the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture).
