The price of soybeans on the Chicago Grain Exchange recorded a drop of 7.25 cents in the May/17 contract on Tuesday (18.04), closing at US$ 9.46 per bushel. The July/17 contract fell 7.50 Dollar cents, while the August/17 contract depreciated 7.25 Dollar cents.
The North American soybean market intensified losses in the main futures prices, pressured by the increase in the supply of the Brazilian oilseed. There is a slowdown in demand for US products, but a factor that accentuated this movement was the rise in the Dollar.
