Potential very high soybean yields in central regions of Argentina will likely compensate for losses generated by the torrential rains recorded in recent days. This is what the Buenos Aires Cereal Exchange points out in its new report, as released by the AgroSouth News Blog.
The Argentine capital's Stock Exchange did not change its oilseed production projection, which was set at 56.5 million tons at a time when the harvest is progressing at 7.8% of the surface. The result represents an increase of 1.8 percentage points in the week and a delay of 6.2 percentage points compared to last year.
The best situations are in parts of Córdoba, central and northern Santa Fé and to a lesser extent in the province of Entre Ríos. The Buenos Aires Cereal Exchange also points out that the possibility of new diseases appearing is low, as low temperatures keep the problem under control.
