The price of corn on the Chicago Grain Exchange registered an increase of 1.50 cents in May/17 contracts on Friday (17.03), closing at US$ 3.675 per bushel. The other highlighted commodity positions on the CBOT also closed the session with devaluations between 1.50 and 2.25 points.
The week of the North American corn market closed with a rise in the main futures prices, as it continues to seek support from international demand – mainly Chinese. There is currently a delicate balance between strong exports and the large supply of cereal in the United States, and price fluctuations are explained by technical movements by investors.
