The price of soybeans on the Chicago Grain Exchange recorded a drop of 1.25 cents in the May/17 contract on Wednesday (15.03), closing at US$ 9.98 per bushel. The July/17 contract fell 1.00 cents of the Dollar, while the August/17 contract depreciated 1.25 cents of the Dollar.
The North American soybean market closed the day with slight losses in the main futures prices, indicating the cooling of the influence of South American supply. However, the announcement (at the end of the day) of an increase in interest rates in the United States caused a fall in the Dollar and should provoke reactions in the coming days.
