The price of soybeans on the Chicago Grain Exchange registered an increase of 1.75 cents in the March/17 contract on Tuesday (31.01), closing at US$ 10.245 per bushel. The May/17 contract rose 1.50 cents per dollar, while the July/17 contract rose 1.50 cents per dollar.
After the strong falls recorded at the beginning of the week, the North American soybean market had a day of recovery, recording slight gains in the main futures prices. The losses caused by rain in the 2016/17 Argentine harvest are still being accounted for. There is news of more than 700 thousand hectares flooded in the neighboring country.
