With the summer affecting much of Brazil, the only region that should receive rain in the next few days is the south of Brazil. After a lull in precipitation, Rio Grande do Sul will receive more rain next weekend.
According to the most recent forecasts from Climatempo, the tendency is for the rain to return gradually, reaching the entire state during the weekend.
“The most affected regions will be Lagoa dos Patos, the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre, the Valleys and the Central Region. Rainfall volumes in these areas are expected to vary between 50 mm and 150 mm, and may occasionally exceed these values”, states the forecast.
In other areas of the state, Climatempo predicts rainfall between 20mm and 40mm during the period. It should be noted, however, that the situation is worrying due to the excessive rainfall recorded in May.

“The intense mass of dry air that acts over Brazil continues to prevent the advance of rain. This has been increasing temperatures and decreasing relative air humidity in some areas. Furthermore, low air humidity makes it difficult for clouds to form and rain to occur in most parts of the country. It is this large mass of dry air that has been maintaining the conditions for the summer observed in recent days, which will persist until June 20th”, states Climatempo.
Furthermore, the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), in fact, maintains a state of alert for low air humidity in the Central region of the country this Tuesday (11).
“Relative air humidity varying between 30% and 20%”, highlights the alert valid for São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul.
