Foreign sales of fertile eggs tend to decline by around 10% in the year
Last September, for the fourth consecutive month, Brazilian exports of fertile eggs showed positive evolution compared to the same month last year, as the total exported – 10.286 million units – was 7.11% higher than in September 2015.
But, once again, the positive performance is not due to a recovery in sales, but rather to a low turnover in the same month of the previous year. So much so that the accumulated volume in the first nine months of the year remains almost 2.5% lower than that of the same period of the previous year.
As the graph below the table points out, the accumulated volume in the 12 months ending in September 2016 – almost 10% less than that of the same previous period – just falls short, in the last six years, of what was recorded between October 2012 and September of 2013.
As there is only one quarter left until the end of the year, this result is likely to be maintained in 2016.
