On the morning of this Tuesday, the 4th, Galpão Morada Velha in Chimarrão Municipal Park, was the stage for the II Regional Horticulture Seminar and the theme was 'Opportunities and Trends for Horticulture in the Taquari and Pardo river valleys'.
Among the attractions, a lecture by professor Tatiana da Silva Duarte, who addressed the topic 'Sustainable innovations in horticulture: from protected environment to grafting'. She highlighted production in a protected environment is a technique that producers are increasingly adopting and which is expanding sharply in Rio Grande do Sul.
Flávio Cazarolli, consultant at Sebrae/RS, worked on the topic 'Management on rural properties' combined with rural succession. He highlighted that rural succession is a topic that has worried families for several years and that it has two lines of work. One of them has to do with the issue of law, with inheritance, with assets, with the division of assets. The other is seen by business management, who are concerned about how they will continue the property's activities.
The rural producer spoke about her experience in organic food production and the market. To produce, she sought support from entities and stressed that she has to enjoy the activity and always focus on adding income. 'It's an activity where we work a lot and need to be paid well', he highlighted.
