The price of corn on the Chicago Grain Exchange recorded an increase of 2.50 cents on Friday (09/09) in December/16 contracts, closing at US$ 3.41 per bushel. The other highlighted commodity positions closed the session with gains between 2.50 and 3.00 points.
The North American corn market closed the week with increases in the main futures prices, showing great confidence that the United States harvest should indeed be readjusted downwards. Furthermore, independent forecasts also point to a drop in ending stocks.
