The price of soybeans on the Chicago Grain Exchange recorded a drop of 17.75 cents in the September/16 contract on Tuesday (30.08), closing at US$ 9.655 per bushel. The November/16 contract fell 13.50 cents in the Dollar, while the January/17 contract depreciated 13.25 cents in the Dollar.
The North American soybean market opened, recording another session of heavy losses in the main futures prices, pressured by the prospect of a record harvest in the United States. According to the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), the index of crops in “good or excellent” conditions reached 73%, which represented an increase of one percentage point in this week's partial.
