The restricted supply of tallow and the low demand for the product have caused prices to move sideways in Central Brazil.
According to a survey by Scot Consultoria, in Central Brazil tallow is priced at R$2.15 per kilo.
In Rio Grande do Sul, lower demand resulted in a drop in prices. Tallow is quoted at R$2.20/kg, a decrease in value of 2.3% compared to last week.
The drop in prices in Rio Grande do Sul is an attempt to increase the flow of the product onto the market.
For the short term, the perspective is that the limited supply in Central Brazil will support prices.
