Brazil's fresh beef exports continue to rise, with positive numbers in the first week of October. According to Secex, Brazil exported 38.11 thousand tons. The daily average was 7,624 tons, according to the data. Initial performance is promising. If maintained, Brazil could break export records. 160 thousand tons of beef are expected this month.
According to data from the Cepea newsletter, it is worth highlighting that September was already a notable month for the sector, with Brazil recording the second highest volume of exports in history for the period. The combination of these factors, together with the reduction in the supply of animals for slaughter, has supported the prices of live cattle on the domestic market.
The CEPEA/B3 Indicator, which monitors the price of live cattle, has remained consistently around R$ 230 since the end of September. The current scenario is due to the growing global demand for Brazilian beef. At the same time, internal factors, such as the reduction in the supply of cattle for slaughter, are increasing prices on the national market.
Researchers at Cepea (Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics) note the appreciation of beef exports. This is a positive sign for the Brazilian economy. Agribusiness plays a fundamental role in the country's economic scenario. The increase in exports not only boosts the sector's profitability, but also contributes to the stability and growth of Brazil's meat industry.
The scenario is favorable and should be monitored closely, as trends in beef exports have the potential to impact not only the agricultural sector, but also the national economy as a whole.
