Volodymyr Zelensky, president of Ukraine, said that the Black Sea grain agreement should continue even without the participation of Russia, which announced this Monday (17) its withdrawal from the deal, alleging that obstacles to its grain exports Agricultural products and inputs were not withdrawn by Western countries.
The Ukrainian leader emphasized yesterday that the Kremlin is “breaking its agreements” with the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), António Guterres, and with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, “not with us, we had no agreement with them".

The President of Ukraine considered that, even without Russia, it is necessary to guarantee the functioning of the “grain corridor”.
“Companies that own ships approached us. They said that if Ukraine allows the ships to leave and Turkey allows them to pass, then everyone is ready to continue supplying grain,” Zelensky highlighted.
Official letters were sent to Guterres and Erdogan with the proposal to continue the negotiations that make Ukrainian shipments possible through the ports of Greater Odessa.
“Ukraine, the UN and Turkey can jointly guarantee the operation of the food corridor and the inspection of ships”, highlighted the Ukrainian leader.
