In the soybean market in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, prices appreciate by up to R$ 1.50/bag, but business remains slow for the period, according to information released by TF Agroeconomic. “As the conditions of North American soybean crops came exactly where the market expected, the weather, notably the forecast of good rains in the American Midwest, set a bearish tone in Chicago today”, he comments.
“Buyers are looking at July onwards, with a greater focus on August, and are also starting to target September. In port, the best price of the day was R$ 145.50 for 25/07, marking a low of R$ 1.00/bag. Inland, in Cruz Alta, the price fell by R$ 1.00/bag, reaching R$ 138.50. In Ijuí the value was R$ 138.00, falling at R$ 1.00/bag. In Santa Rosa, as well as in São Luiz, the price fell by R$ 1.00/bag and was R$ 137.50”, he adds.

In Santa Catarina an increase was seen, while business remains at a standstill. “Santa Catarina remains at a standstill in terms of business, but marks appreciation in prices, something that came more as a criterion of market recovery and not so much as an international basis, given that today was a bearish day. At the port of São Francisco do Sul, the price was R$ 141.00 for April with immediate delivery, marking an increase of R$ 1.00/bag”, he indicates.
The week continues without new movements in Paraná. “In the same way as seen in the other regions studied in this report, there is no atypical pressure on the part of businesses, which continue to flow at a normal pace and are approaching 50% of sales, which is good, as it leads to the release of warehouses, but there is negative impacts for the market agent, as it means that few actions of any type are taken for a long period. For today, it was expected that some drops would be seen with the market following the positive North American climate, but the movements did not occur”, he concludes.
